Hotel Quarantine in Malaysia in Ibis KLCC // Simple Vlog

Hi, I was quarantined at the Ibis hotel for 7 days in April 2021. The information in the video may be insufficient, you are welcome to get more information from me by commenting below. I will try my best to answer and I hope everyone can return home safely :)

First, I submitted a Letter of Undertaking (LoU) and a copy of my passport to the Dublin Embassy 2 weeks before departure. Then, print out the LoU and the Travel Notice (TN) which is a permission letter get from the embassy. After that, I took a COVID-PCR test with a negative swab test result within 72 hours prior to departure because this allow me to quarantine for only 7 days instead of 10 days in the designated quarantine centre. (However, the duration of quarantine has changed now, please checked !!!!!!)

Present the hardcopy of this Permission Letter and the hardcopy of the Letter of Undertaking & Indemnity to the airlines during check-in process, and Immigration Department of Malaysia (IMI) or National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) officials upon arrival in KLIA. NADMA officials in KLIA will sign and witness the Letter of Undertaking on behalf of the Government of Malaysia upon arrival in Malaysia.

Travellers will also need to download the MySejahtera App 3 days before their departure https://mysejahtera.malaysia.gov.my/intro_en/. There are different package of hotel staying. The most economic one is the standard package (SP) which is RM150/day/Malaysian. The hotel for SP is randomly allocated after you arrived KLIA. There is also premium package (PP) with different prices and you can choose what hotel you want to stay. Please book PP directly with the quarantine station hotels. I booked Ibis as PP and it cost RM238/day for a standard room. For the PP of Ibis KLCC, there is a free one way airport pickup, complimentary welcome snack pack and upgraded 3 main meals per day.

There is a mandotory PCR test during the quarantine. It is RM150 for Malaysians and RM250 for non-Malaysians. However, there is a free covid PCR test for students.
