WEEPHOLE KNOCKOUTS
2 weephole knockouts allow for any standing water left in the basin following a rain event to slowly and fully drain into the soils below. Prevent potential bacteria, algae growth and decay, foul smells & development of mosquito breeding grounds which can lead to diseases such as Zika & West Nile viruses. Look inside the basin for two knockout locations on the sump bottom. Flip basin over to find 2 small, round bumps on the basin bottom, each with an open slot to receive a screwdriver blade.

HOW TO KNOCK OUT WEEPHOLES
Use a hammer, 1/4” to 3/8” slotted screwdriver, and appropriate protective equipment.

Place the basin upside down on a firm, flat surface
Vertically align the screwdriver blade in the receiving slot of the knockout indentation
Strike the screwdriver handle end downward using moderate force with a hammer
Twist away & remove knocked-out plastic

INNER OUTLET HUB KNOCKOUT
Another new feature is the ability to knock out the inner 3 in. pipe hub of the basin outlet if needed. This increases the opening & allows for 36% increased flow through over the old design when connecting 4 in. drain pipes

HOW TO KNOCK OUT INNER HUB
Use a short stick such as a 1X1.
Hold and stabilize the Spee-D Basin
Position the short end of the 1X1
Strike the outlet

STACKING RIBS
Stacking ribs are found on the basin bottom and under each outlet. These ribs enable the basins to stack together more securely for transport and storage.

The re-designed Spee-D Basin is compatible with the same NDS products as the original Spee-D Basin, which includes the Spee-D Basin Riser, a wide selection of drainage grates, 6 in. pop-up emitter covers, low-profile adapters, and most common drainage pipes.

- SPEE-D BASIN RISER
Using a Spee-D Basin with a Spee-D Basin Riser provides greater installation flexibility by allowing for:
Deeper basin outletting
Positive drainage through the system when using multiple basins in series
Proper soil-cover depths when using the basin with the NDS EZflow® engineered gravel-free French drain system

The Spee-D Riser is an easy alternative to pipe risers. It can add 2 to 6 in. of riser height and has built-in cut guides. The basin riser is also compatible with NDS components that fit the Spee-D Basin such as drainage grates, low-profile adapters, and pop-up emitters.

- GRATES
Spee-D Basin fits NDS drain grates (also known as drain covers) available in many materials, colors and styles:
Round, atrium, & square
Plastic, brass, & iron
Plastic grates are available in 4 colors: black, sand, green, & gray

- POP-UP EMITTER COVERS
Spee-D Basin also receives NDS 6 in. round pop-up emitter covers for maximum outflow when used as point of system discharge.

- DRAIN PIPES
Spee-D Basin is compatible with the following common drainage pipe types:

3 & 4 in. SDR35 sewer-and-drain (S&D) pipes
3 & 4 in. single-wall corrugated pipes
3 & 4 in. triple-wall corrugated pipes
3 & 4 in. Schedule 40 pipes
