A fire at a mixed-use building on Manotick Main Street near Mahogany Harbour Lane on Sunday morning has displaced two residents and killed a pet cat, with investigators still working to determine the cause; travellers at the Ottawa International Airport are facing rising airfare as jet fuel prices climb to around $175 US a barrel, driven by ongoing tensions in the Middle East; and Canada's largest multi-style dance competition, Hit the Floor, is bringing 3,000 dancers from Quebec and Ontario to the Hilton Lac-Leamy Convention Centre in Gatineau this week, with more than 1,000 routines performed across five days.
