In today’s video we’re going to take a look at a few techniques for removing excessive finger squeaks from your acoustic guitar recordings.

One word of warning: You don’t want to eliminate the squeaks completely, that would make the recording sound fake and lifeless, but excessive squeaks need to go!

I’m going to show you three ways you can tame finger squeaks at the source (your guitar player) and three ways to fix them in the mixing stage.

* In this video, the version of Spectralayers that I'm using id the PRO version, sorry about that, my bad, I thought I was using the version included in Cubase Pro11... With the Free version, you can use the Selection tool and select the squeaky part and click on delete to remove it. Not as smooth as the eraser tool but still might help.
