We go through the entire process of starting seeds, transplanting, growing and harvesting fresh chickpeas from your home garden. Chickpeas are a cool season crop and grow best in the spring and fall weather. Fresh chickpeas are also not available at your grocery store, so its an excellent plant to grow in your vegetable garden. Roasted chickpeas are delicious. We love growing chickpeas so we can eat roasted chickpeas. We grow fresh chickpeas so that we can harvest them fresh and roast the pods and then eat the chickpeas.
