Does the top keep spinning?

Christopher Nolan's 2010 sci-fi thriller – Inception – ends on a cliffhanger. Does the spinning top spin indefinitely or topple over? Audiences have been frustrated by the ending for years. In this video essay, I give my interpretation of that answer as well as explain what the spinning top means to us–the audience.
