That’s how an average car looks. This is the type of cars - no matter Mercedes or Volkswagen - we use for medical evacuations.
Here you can see how the car metal «reacts» to shrapnel. What this means? If something explodes near the car, we are all likely to be killed, including the ones we are evacuating.
We want to make our work more efficient and to use armoured vehicles - like bank сollector cars - for evacuations. This cars will let us do our job better so we can get closer, pick up the injured earlier. The sooner we pick up the injured and transfer him to the hospital - the higher is the chance of survival.We are a medical devision of Hospitaller battalion. Our group works in Kyiv region and the suburbs of Kyiv.We need armoured vehicles for our work. There are no cars of this type left in Ukraine, we know there are some abroad. This is needed to save human lives. We work with both - military and civilians. It doesn’t matter whom we help - safety matters. Russians prioritise killing the medics because a medic equals to ten soldiers. Killing of the medics results in demoralization of soldiers and this disrupts evacuations. We need armoured vehicles to save lives of medics and injured.
Because that is how an average car looks when it gets under shelling. If the people were inside at that moment - everyone would be killed. We don’t ask for ourselves, but for the injured who are being evacuated on non armoured cars.
