How To: Set the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona (Transcript)
To set your Daytona, we have the Hour Hand, Minute Hand, Small Seconds, and finally the winding crown. The winding crown has 3 positions, numbered from 0 to 2. Position 0 is fully closed and where the crown should be at all times if you are not setting your watch. Position 1 allows you to manually wind the movement and position 2 manipulates the time.

First, unscrew the crown by rotating counterclockwise, where it will naturally pop out into the 1st position.

Gently pull the crown to the second position - where the Small Seconds Hand stops - and you can now set the time.

Pushing the crown back into position 1, wind the crown 20 rotations to give the movement a manual charge; something you will need to do whenever you set the time or at least once a month for maintenance.

Make sure the winding crown in fully screwed closed; push it towards the case as you rotate it clockwise to ensure water-proofness.
