Transposition of the Great Arteries
http://www.cincinnatichildrens.org/health/t/transposition/ In cases of transposition of the great arteries (aorta and pulmonary artery), these vessels are "transposed" from their normal position so that the aorta arises from the right ventricle and the pulmonary artery from the left ventricle. Transposition creates a situation where oxygen-rich blood is pumped back to the lungs and oxygen-poor blood is pumped back to the body. Heart models and animation were developed by the Cincinnati Children's Heart Institute in conjunction with Cincinnati Children's Critical Care Media Lab. http://www.cincinnatichildrens.org/service/h/heart-institute/default/
