How to Strip Tinted Varnish of a Jacobean Chair - Full Tutorial
Jacobean Chair Stripping
Watch how easily we Stripped the Tinted Varnish and Shellac from this Oak Jacobean Chair using Cooper’s Paint & Varnish Stripping Products
Stripped using Cooper’s
See how Cooper’s Stripper rapidly dissolved the old tinted varnish and shellac down to the oak timber, allowing for the old finish to be easily removed using a combination of trowel, brush and Steel Wool
Then watch how we removed the soft residues of old varnish and Stripper using Cooper’s Flusher
The result was a timber surface that didn’t need sanding before it was refinished.
Why sand when Cooper’s reuses the sanding that was put there by the person who made the chair, it’s quick & it’s easy!
Finished using Cooper’s Moisturiser
See how we finished the chair using Cooper’s Moisturiser, it’s like skin care for wood, absorbing deep into the wood, it brings out the inner glow of the Oak, its gorgeous and feels like silk.
Using Conventional Stripping Methods
Conventional Stripper will usually require you to sand afterwards to remove the old finish it didn’t remove.
Sanding this style of chair is near on impossible to sand, just imagine the time and work it would take.
In addition to the physical drama of sanding, there's also all that toxic messy dust floating around that gets into everything it shouldn’t.
Cheers and thanks for watching the stripper that gets it off, every time 😊
