Playwright Configuration Tutorial | From Basics to Advanced

𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: Playwright allows us to configure on 𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒐 𝑹𝒖𝒏 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒚𝒘𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝑻𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒔

In contrast to other frameworks, most of the features of playwright are 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒇𝒊𝒈𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒍 𝑬𝒙𝒆𝒄𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝑬𝒙𝒆𝒄𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, 𝑹𝒆𝒕𝒓𝒚 𝒇𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 etc.

𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭.𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐠.𝐭𝐬:
𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 by default set up a configuration file during set up: 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭.𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐠.𝐭𝐬

This is 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 file by which we can control execution of Test cases

Is 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭.𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐠.𝐭𝐬 mandatory? What if we don't keep it Framework?

Answer is: NO, it's not mandatory

Playwright by default has built in configuration so even if playwright.config.ts is deleted Playwright tests will run with default configurations
