Sirui Anamorphic Comparison 24mm, 35mm, 50mm to SLR Magic 35mm

In this video I compare the framing of Sirui and SLR Magic anamorphic lenses to the 17.5mm Voigtlander lens and the 12-60mm Panasonic kit lens. Sirui 24, 35, and 50 1.33x anamorphic lenses are featured alongside the SLR Magic 2x 35mm anamorphic lens. Camera used: Panasonic LUMIX GH5.

In most cases, unless otherwise stated (or in "side-by-side" comparisons), these video clips have been scaled down so that the height of the video lines up with the height of the 4096 x 1706 sequence. On the kit lens and Voigtlander lens, this causes the width to be short of the sequence's aspect ratio. For the Sirui lenses, the width lines up with the width of the sequence. And on the SLR Magic, the width extends beyond the edge of the 2.40:1 aspect ratio.

This test puts a focus on framing, rather than focus, sharpness, color coating, bokeh, or any other attributes. No color correction/grading has been applied. Videos have been desqueezed on the anamorphic lenses unless otherwise stated. This video is not sponsored.
