[SRT] First Class Train Experience Onboard 'Isan-Wattana'

Presenting to you a train journey I recently made on board State Railway of Thailand (SRT) from Bangkok to the north-eastern city of Ubon Ratchathani using the newly formed Special Express No. 23, also named as 'Isan-Wattana'.

This train is formed using the brand new coaches brought in from CRRC Changchun of China. Brought in 2016, a total of 115 coaches were bought in by SRT consisting of a mixture of Power Generator Cars, First Class & Second Class Sleeper Coaches and Restaurant Cars. These coaches are currently deployed to 4 different services namely;

Train 9 & 10: Bangkok - Chiang Mai - Bangkok
Train 23 & 24: Bangkok - Ubon Ratchathani - Bangkok
Train 25 & 26: Bangkok - Nong Khai - Bangkok
Train 31 & 32: Bangkok - Hat Yai - Bangkok

In my perspective, it was an amazing experience with a whole new level of comfort, facilities and amenities and I truly enjoyed the train journey. Kudos to the train crew and SRT for the truly amazing experience!
