England V Germany Euros: Thousands of fans setting off flares and chanting as big match excitement builds:
England fans have gathered outside Wembley in the build up to big Euro 2020 match against Germany.
Thousands of England supporters have gathered outside Wembley and the first supporters are now drifting into the stadium.
Fans have been spotted singing, drinking and dancing as once again England fans hope football will finally come home.
Elsewhere in London fans, complete with their England shirts, have been spotted ordering takeaway pints six hours before the match.
England face Germany in the last-16 of Euro 2020 at 5pm today (June 29) and with many unexpected results taking place in the tournament this week, including the shock exit of world champions France, the home side will hope they can do the same.
A party has broken out at Wembley and so far fans have turned up in a colourful range of outfits. One fan was even photographed recreating some of the iconic photos from England’s 1966 world cup win.
Other fans have been snapped wearing St George’s outfits complete with inflatable swords and shields.
Flares have been lit for the occasion and life sized posters of England Phil Foden, and his tournament blonde hair, have been spotted outside Wembley.
A number of England fans were also spotted wearing Gareth Southgate face masks and others will certainly have adopted waistcoats for the match.
A group of fans were also photographed covered head to toe in St George’s flags. Many have also opted for face paint for the grand occasion.
Meanwhile Germany fans have also arrived at Wembley and a terrific atmosphere is building in the hours before kick-off.
There will be approximately 1,800 Germany supporters at Wembley for the game. Though the official allocation is over 7,000 for each country, travel and quarantine restrictions meant that tickets were only available to German nationals living in the UK.
This means there will likely be three times as many England fans for every German fan in the home fixture.

The penultimate round of 16 tie at Euro 2020 pits England against a familiar rival
England are through to the quarterfinals of Euro 2020 after an emotional 2-0 victory over Germany on Tuesday at Wembley Stadium. Raheem Sterling, who had scored England's only two goals of the group stage, was the hero with his second-half strike in front of goal. His winner came in the 75th minute, with Germany missing their best chance of the game just seconds later, sending the Three Lions into the last eight, where they'll face either Ukraine or Sweden.
After an ambitious effort early on from Sterling was pushed out by Manuel Neuer, the Germans began to take control, getting forward well despite not creating a whole lot of danger. Their best chance of the first half came just after the midway point when Kai Havertz played Chelsea teammate Timo Werner through on the left side of the box, but his low chance from close was saved well by Jordan Pickford.
However, the first half ended with England nearly taking the lead. A poor pass back from Thomas Muller saw Sterling pick it up and advance towards goal. As Muller was chasing him down, a double challenge on the winger saw the ball fall to Harry Kane, who was open on the left side of the box. His first touch was a tad heavy, and it was his last, as Mats Hummels came in for a clutch slide tackle to clear the danger when it looked like a tap-in was coming from the star striker.
