Waiting for "Halloween" Got The Shape Like...

About seven months ago I was contacted about the possibility of scoring a documentary about "Halloween". Of course, I eagerly accepted the offer. Unfortunately, the project didn't come to fruition.

However...I still orchestrated and recorded a theme for the film. I wanted something that utilized both the classic sound of the original theme recording (pianos and synths) while also bringing in a slightly "larger" orchestral sound- hopefully proving that the two CAN be merged successfully when composing for a "Halloween" film/project.

I also wanted to incorporate some of the more well-known themes and orchestrations from the original score- such as the "Stalking" motif -while adding my own touches- like the "Dies Irae" melody. I wanted to create something that honored the timeless, classic essence of this legendary theme while also updating it for a new generation and era. I can only pray I succeeded in my mission.

But I didn't want to simply release it as a recording...so I created...this. I hope you enjoy our efforts. 7 more days, folks...
