Extended cut of Ghillie in field on thermal.

Following a discussion about use of Ghillies in native environment vs need for thermal blocking layer addition, I decided to upload the full cutting room floor footage of the ghillie in use in a field in various positions. WHen laying on the upslope, you can really see the heat blending capability of just the suit alone as the suit base temp almost matches slope ground temp perfectly while the ghillie strands maintain a lower environmental temperature which matches the grasses around me. It was interesting to see the layering heat in the suit itself and how well it blended without the use of additional thermal blocking layers.
Thermal Unit: 640 sensor Pulsar Helion XP50
Ghillie Suit: Homemade. Summertime desert BDU base, natural yarn hand tied and hand sewn netting, heavy natural fibers (from burlap to jute to straw to cotton and grasses) intermixed with synthetic fibers (polyester yarn) hand tied to base netting in randomized patterns to create a variation in thermal reactivity.
