Add an Ozone Generator to an Air Purifier

Here I show how to add an ozone generator inside a Filtrete FAP02 room air purifier (it will work with any fan). The corona discharge converts atmospheric oxygen (O2) into ozone gas (O3), a potent disinfectant with an odor similar to bleach that kills bacteria, viruses and fungi to sanitize the air and remove odors. Ozone spontaneously reverts to normal atmospheric oxygen over a few days and leaves no toxic residue.

Do not use this generator in the presence of humans, animals or plants.
Allow
several hours of forced ventilation to open air before returning to an ozone treated area.

Question: What ppm ozone would this 7 gm/h generator produce after an hour in a 10' x 11' x 8' room?
Answer: The density of ozone is 2.14 grams/liter at 0° C (273° K) or 2.14 grams/1.1 liter at room temperature (300° K). Therefore 7 grams of ozone will occupy 3.6 liters at room temperature.
The volume of air in a 10' x 11' x 8' room is 24,900 liters, therefore the ppm answer is 3.6/24900 or 144.6 ppm, nearly three times the lethal dose over a 60 minute exposure.
