Secret Mayra Cave Behind Waterfall | Mayra Cave | Maharana Pratap's Armoury | Mayra Ki Gufa

Do you want to know about the place where Maharana Pratap used to hide his weapons during the years of continuous struggle with the Mughal emperor Akbar? At this place, Maharana Pratap ate grass roties.

This place is about 8 kilometers from Gogunda and about 25 kilometers from Haldighati. Located in a forested area, this is a secret cave known as Mayra Cave, or Mayra Ki Gufa. Many people also know it by the name of Maharana Pratap Cave.

Since Gogunda was the capital of Mewar at the time of Maharana Pratap, the Mayra Cave had great strategic importance due to its proximity to Gogunda.

Maharana Pratap used to change his residence continuously at intervals of a few days. It is said that during those days of struggle, Maharana Pratap lived in this cave, and he also ate grass roties, or chapatis, while staying here.

This place is filled with natural beauty. During the rainy season, this beauty increases a lot when a waterfall starts falling near the cave. This cave was used as a temporary residence for Maharana during the war and was also used as the secret armoury of Maharana's army. Where they used to keep their weapons.

This place is not very famous among tourists. There could be various reasons for that, but according to me, the main reason is the negligence of the authorities. This place has the efficiency to be a very famous tourist attraction, but there is no advertisement about the place anywhere, and the lack of a proper path to reach this place is also a vital drawback.

This place has everything: a link to a very important historical event and man, natural beauty including hills, greenery, waterfalls, etc. According to me, this is a must visit place.
