Making an Artificial Reef with limestone - West Bali

At Sumber Sari in West Bali, the local community, working with a green villa development, has begun a new project, working on reef conservation. We're currently building artificial reefs in an area that was destroyed by bomb fishing and other unsustainable fishing practices. We hope to prove a practical set of methodologies, that are widely replicable in Indonesia.
In the video, reef project crew, and some volunteers, are building a bommie from locally quarried, limestone boulders, which should provide an ideal substrate for coral growth. We've also built a 12m bamboo reef pontoon, which is moored 100m offshore, and which is the base for project activities (it's also a very cool place to relax)
