One of the challenges when painting a seascape is that it might have a lot of white foam. While it creates an exciting, strong contrast to blues and greens, it can also flatten the scene if we don’t create enough value contrast within the foam itself. In this demo, Lana will show how to use value and color temperature to describe the shape of the wave, create volume, and emphasize the translucency of the water.
