The European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) Group is a centre-right political alliance within the European Parliament, founded in 2009. Dedicated to euro-realism, the ECR pushes for an EU reform that cherishes national sovereignty, concentrates on economic recovery, growth, and competitiveness, and opts for flexibility over centralisation. We advocate for an EU where decision-making is brought closer to the citizens, with reduced bureaucracy and enhanced accountability. The EU should only really step in where it's really needed to add value.
