EPSON R3000 Update report on the refillable Push Button Carts

My idea of being able to top off and reset my EPSON R3000 Push Button Carts at any time while they sit in the printer were shattered just the other day.

Not gonna happen!!!!

Apparently these carts do indeed reset by pressing that nice convenient button BUT not until a cart reaches "Empty"!

Your ink monitor will then display the RED X, at which point to can then press the reset button for that cart and upon closing the Ink Cart Lid, you should have a reset ink level on that color.

Recommendations are that you maintain the carts semi full by periodically topping them off.
That way you will never run into the danger of lossing the priming on the carts due to some being actually fully empty of ink though the chip stated otherwise.
