The important thing to remember is there are 2 different weight limits depending on when the back is attached or not. The headrests are adjustable and you are aiming to have the shoulder belt at or slightly above the child shoulder level. Booster car seats function the same way as the belt holds the child in the same way as an adult with the lap/shoulder belt combination.
