Flyin Miata V-maxx Xxtreme Coilovers Install Suspension Upgrade DIY

How to install the Flyin' Miata V-maxx Xxtreme coilovers in my 1996 Mazda MX-5 Miata! The Flyin Miata coilovers required some assembly, but they have a great instruction packet that comes with the kit. If you are installing them please refer to their instructions for assembly.

It was finally time to get that hella flush fitment for the Miata. I had waited two months to build my own DIY Budget Bilstein set up, but apparently Bilstein just doesn't want to send the B8 shocks to Summit racing right now (stuck on backorder 4everrrrr). So we went the tried and true route with Flying Miata!

Tools:
-Socket Set (10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 18mm, 21mm)
-Torque Wrench
-Flat head?
-Jack
-Jack Stands

Torque Specs:
-Upper Shock Mount (AKA Tophats) 22-27 lb-ft
-Lower Shock bolts 54-69 lb-ft
-Front Upper Inner Control Arm (Long Bolt) 87-101 lb-ft
-Upper Shock Nuts (nut holding bushings to top hat) tighten until the bushing is roughly the same diameter of the top washer, this should be done after the weight of the car is resting on the shocks
-End Links 27-40 ft-lb (after the weight of the car is resting on suspension)
-Rear control arm bolt (I tightened this the same as the lower shock bolt because it was similar length and bolt size) 54-69 ft-lb
