How we helped paralyzed people to walk again | Claudia Angeli | TEDxIndianapolisWomen

Can a person paralyzed due to spinal cord injuries (SCI) walk? Most of us would imagine not; however, Dr. Claudia Angeli refused to accept "never" as an answer and her path breaking work to help re-learn movement is the first step in providing the gift of mobility to thousands of people who may have never imagined walking another step. Claudia Angeli was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina and moved to the U.S.A. to attend college. After completing her PhD, she started her career at Frazier Rehab Institute. She currently works at Kentucky Spinal Cord Injury Research Center and is focused on activity-based retraining of the nervous system following SCI.
