Third trimester 36 week pregnancy update | early signs of labor | 2cm dilated

Hi Friends,

Here's a quick update on my pregnancy. I am happy to report we are officially 36 weeks pregnant and already experiencing some signs of labor. #36weekspregnant #pregnancyupdate
we are 2CMs dilated and 50% efface, meaning cervical changes are happening folks.

Terminology:
Cervical dilation: Is the opening of the cervix, the entrance to the uterus during childbirth.

Effacement: Refers to a thinning of the cervix. It is a component of the Bishop score. It can be expressed as a percentage. Prior to effacement, the cervix is like a long bottleneck, usually about four centimeters in length.
