The 1995 Gold Championship was a live, two-hour competition that aired on NBC on November 18, 1995. The Gold Championship, produced by Candid Productions (Dick Button's production company) was held in Edmonton, Alberta from 1994 to 1996. Participants were required to have won an Olympic gold medal. They competed for the highest prize money available in professional figure skating ($200,000 for first place, $160,000 for second place and $140,000 for third place).
