Wind Waker HD: perfect Mighty Darknut battle with 3 hearts in Hero mode

If you happen to fall in this battle and save accidentally (which is the default menu option), there is no way to continue with the story other than do this battle with 3 hearts.

In this video I demonstrate how to finish the battle without getting hit.

While they armored, you cannot hit the darknuts, so the trick is to target one of them constantly and wait until the counter attack "A" button is displayed. Also, be alert and when you see them hit, immediately defend yourself with the shield, this is highly important to finish the battle. Be patient, it is actually a very easy fight.
