Canva Tutorial: How to Create a Layered Hollow Text Effect

In this tutorial, I'll show you how to create a layered hollow text effect in Canva. Let's get started.

Step 1. Add your text.
Go to Text and click Add a Heading. Type your desired text.

Step 2. Customize the font and spacing.
Go to font options and select Genty. Select the text and increase its letter spacing.

Step 3. Duplicate and stack the text.
Duplicate the text layer and position the copy slightly above the original. Repeat this duplication and stacking process five or six times so the layers are arranged one above the other.

Step 4. Change the top layer color.
Select the topmost text layer and change its color to a different shade.

Step 5. Create a white outline layer.
Duplicate the text again and change its color to white. Go to Effects and select Hollow. This creates an outline for your text. Adjust the white hollow text over the main text and modify the thickness as needed.
