GAVRES | 🏝️ La douce Presqu'ile - LORIENT TV

Gâvres est une merveilleuse presqu'île tres calme , à l'est de l'île de Groix et à l'entrée de la rade de Lorient face à Port-Louis dans le Morbihan en Bretagne sud.

La presqu'ile de Gavres est protégée de la mer et de l'Océan atlantique par des digues.
Les nombreux blockhaus de la Seconde Guerre mondiale sont encore présents, avec les portes blindées, les emplacements de canons, de mortiers et de mitrailleuses. Ces blockhaus gardaient l'entrée de la rade de Lorient, qui était une base importante pour les sous-marins de la kriegsmarine.

Gavres is found in Morbihan in the Brittany region of France. Gâvres is situated in the Morbihan department in the south of Brittany. "Mor bihan" (small sea) is the name the Bretons gave to the great gulf south of Vannes, which is merely connected to the Atlantic Ocean by a narrow passage in which nearly 60 islands are located.
Meanwhile, the term is used for the entire department, that is one of the most beautiful areas in France due to its varied coastline, the mild climate and the almost Mediterranean vegetation.
