"Gangotri" is a popular Hindu pilgrimage site located in the state of Uttarakhand, in northern India. It is the source of the river Ganges, one of the holiest rivers in Hinduism.

Gangotri is 26 km from Harsil and is of course very famous. Gangotri is on NH 34 and takes around 40 min from harsil to reach Gangotri. Gangotri is one of the Char Dham's of Uttarakhand and is one of the visited places by tourists and devotees from around the world.
