Overweight and Plastic Surgery

I have patients who are a little larger than they should be, maybe a little bit overweight, but they're healthy enough and they do qualify for surgery. They ask me, Well, I'm overweight, but I'm I'm healthy enough. I'm cleared for surgery. Well, I have a better result if I elect to have the Cell saver during my surgery. So in my opinion, yes, many, many people who are a bit overweight and bigger than they should be could potentially have healing problems. So with the use of the Cell saver, we are allowed to give them back the extra blood that they've lost with the liposuction. And they it speeds up their healing process. And in my opinion, it can lead to fewer wound healing problems and to better results. And it can also allow the patient to feel much better soon after surgery so that they can be more active and walk and exercise sooner than if they didn't use a Cell saver. Basically, they'll have more energy, and their healing process will go more quickly and with fewer bumps in the road.
