here are many different ways superhero couples can take their relationships too far. Some do it simply by having a relationship in the first place, being controversial in origin alone. Others are just not good for another and need to split up but try to keep the romance going for reasons beyond us, but reasons that the writers try to give us, or sometimes don't.
