Greetings & Welcome to the world of Hublot. Today I'll be your guide to the Hublot Classic Fusion Ultra Thin Titanium White Shiny Dial. We're going to explore its features and its facets starting with its robust and beautifully differentiated stainless steel clasp. Now when I say beautifully differentiated, I mean there's a contrasting finish even in terms of the hood of the clasp polished on its flanks, polished on its inset H pattern Hublot bolts, satin finished on its top next to the Hublot marquis. Open its twin triggers, and you'll note the twin triggers provide positive release, not friction. It can't simply pop open, the twin triggers affording maximum security and peace of mind.
The stainless steel clasp entirely polished top and bottom and on its interior. There isn't a single unfinished surface here, and you'll note the style never ends, Hublot even inserting its slash cut H logo into the lower clasp of body. There's a minderless system that tucks excess strap underneath the clasp body, so there's no need for minder loops to take up excess strap. It's extremely crisp and clean when closed. Now the excess strap is hidden underneath a beautiful, light brown alligator leather. We're seeing fusion of materials but also contrast of tones.
That beautiful light brown gator gives way to a contrasting white stitch and a black ultra thin strap in natural vulcanized rubber. This is a longtime Hublot signature, they are a master of rubber straps. Supple and strong, you can see how it swells to meet the taper of the lugs, and the lugs, part of the watch's nomenclature, ultra thin. In fact, the entire profile of the watch is only 8.5 millimeters afforded by the manual wind caliber HUB1301.4 inside, less than three millimeters thick in its own right. Now you'll notice the contrasting finish to the case, beautiful, sensuous compound curves in a very compact package. Nevertheless, Hublot manages to include beautiful contrasting brushed or satin finished lug hoods with inset polished H-pattern bolts and polished case flanks, polished bezel flanks with a satin finish bezel top, again, contrasting with the polish of the bezel bolts in titanium.
You will also note the fully expressed bezel gasket. Much of the design language of the big bang has been pared down. It's given up some of its brutish strength and masculine charm for something more elegant, more versatile, more universal. You can see that the watch, nevertheless, masculine but in a way that's effortless, a way that is cool, a way that is charming. You'll note all of this centers on a gorgeous, shiny white dial, now shiny being Hublot's own term for it. What it is is a beautiful white laquer with all applied and polished faceted hour indices and faceted hands at center. Now the laquer gives it the appearance of being permanently wet, almost as if you could dip a finger into its depth. It has gloss, it has gleam, and it reflects the light in spectacular fashion in tandem with the faceted metal applied to it.
Now you can see an off-centered small seconds with a polished chaptering for a little bit of post-modernist calculated dissymmetry and the Hublot marquis at 12 o'clock. Now on the case back you can see the Hublot caliber HUB1301.4, 23 jewels, 123 parts. It features an exceptional 90-hour power reserve when fully wound. You can see the spiral pattern brushed dressage atop the bridges. You can see the polished screws, you can see the tight and even engine turn perlage across the base plate. Nothing is obscured. It's beautiful in its simplicity and again, with 90 hours of power reserve, winding your watch will be an occasional pleasure, not a daily chore. You can see this and the entire family of Hublot model lines on our website, GovbergWatches.com.
