Railway Photography Kitset.

Timely footage, having fun while staying safe...

The ultimate kit when doing oldtime railway photography...

1 Obtaining overhead photo's are one of the hardest things to
take, when you lift the camera out of normal view you can't
see what you're filming, this little mirror project was the
absolute best, all you have to do is turn on screen lines and
then align what you see in the mirror - and keep it steady !

Reason you have to is simply because you may have the top of
a loco' just in the near distance and you want to get another
coming through just ahead on the other side, you can only get
so high on your tiptoes, with this you hold it verticaly and
film as if normaly, simply need to keep your juxtaposition
perfectly aligned with the action until train has passed.

Then fold upwards, and keep filming next scene normaly. The
design uses solid thick copper and antenna tube and mirror.
Measure design up from the knob mount, across the bottom,
up the left side angling as you go to reach towards the top
front, and then back towards you ending with the mirror.
For the hinge fold/solder tin on back of mirror tightly.

...angle mirror to incidence not just 90', but viewing angle!

...also good for over top of concert crowd too!

...mirror is your over-viewscreen!

...look up into it verticaly!

2 There's two reasons you want a side mirror attached to your
shades, first is Safety : you need to be seeing if anything's
coming up behind your back, mount it on the right side! The
second is you want to keep a clear view to your rear of folks
walking along particularly if you're about to do a pan and
have zero time as the train is coming from your left !!!

Fellow train spotters may find this an odd bit of kit but its
definately helped me just like a bike mirror when there was
no other view available while keeping the Left eye on the
screen and scene ahead - but keeping the Right behind !

Locomotives can be Deadly Silent at Any Moment You're Busy !!!

Obviously project only suited to quiet rail photography only!

Design is three tight tubes to swivel up/dn/bck/fwds!

And one or two custom clips onto ear arm!

Made this about thirty years ago!

May make a modern set!

1/4" thread!

...Enjoy!
