Steve Kilbey & The Winged Heels - Wollongong - June 19 2021

When I saw The Church a couple of years ago, I was a little underwhelmed by Steve Kilbey’s vocals, so I was somewhat trepidatious about attending this show. However, Steve was in fine form and his band was very tight. The songs themselves had a wonderful depth and complexity. The vast majority of them being taken from his two most recent albums, “Eleven Women” and “The Hall of Counterfeits”.

It was a most enjoyable evening of great music and I’m looking forward to seeing Steve Kilbey again, in any of the numerous forms his performances take.
