Harbor Freight Lathe Conversion using a Treadmill Motor

Totally modernized my Harbor Freight Lathe using a treadmill motor with variable speed and reverse. There was nothing wrong with the original lathe. I just out grew it and didn't want to spend thousands for a problem I could solve. The only thing I wish I had was more mass, but it is bolted to the floor. I can still turn the head stock to turn something larger than 12".
