When you think of the fastest man alive, the Flash is the first name to come to mind. Whether he's part of the Justice League or teaming up with Wally West, Iris West or Harrison Wells, Barry Allen is DC's speediest superhero. In The Flash TV series, which is a part of The CW's Arrowverse, he is portrayed by Grant Gustin, who stars alongside Candice Patton, Tom Cavanagh and Danielle Panabaker on DCTV.
Making his debut in Arrow, the Flash characters received their own solo show. While several DC Comics events, such as Crisis on Infinite Earths, have been explored, the Flash TV show does depart from the comics quite a bit. Much like other superhero TV shows, it takes liberties, but no one wants to see the Flash characters too different from the source material.
