Barrel Springs to San Ysidro Creek along the Pacific Crest Trail - 3/3/26 to 3/4/26.

This was a training hike that was 4 miles long following the PCT from miles 101.1 at Barrel Spring to 105 San Ysidro creek. This old man is trying to get in better shape. I had to use my old Kelty D4 backpack since my ultra-light Osprey Exos 58 backpack's liner was peeling and sticky. Osprey is replacing it with a new model. The Kelty pack is 49 years old but in great shape. It weighs a little over 3 lbs. However, it isn't nearly as comfortable as the Osprey. My packs base weight was 13 lbs. The temperature got down to 45 degrees so it was a little chilly to leave my sleeping bag. Lots of turkeys!
