This is the second video in my series of three videos about Damien Hirst's first NFT artwork, and my efforts to get one of them...

In this part I go over the lottery which was put in place on Heni.com to work out who would be able to actually buy one of 'The Currency' artworks. Demand was expected to well out-strip the 10,000 pieces which were being made, so they used a lottery and security measures to try to distribute the artworks fairly.

I go over the process of submitting myself to the process, and how it all went. (I got one :) ) It took around 6 or 7 days to hear back, and I'd tried to put it out of my mind so that I wasn't too disappointed if I didn't get one of the artworks... But eventually, an email arrived telling me I'd been accepted and an artwork had been reserved for me - now I just had to pay for it, and it would be mine!

So off I went to Heni.com, connected my wallet, paid in Ethereum, and that was it - really simple process and the artwork was mine :) Really really exciting.

I take a look at the artwork itself, show some of the security features and features Damien Hirst has added and have a look at the signature, rarity attributes, custom name and more. I'm still just amazed that I own a Damien Hirst painting :)

I also talk about the big decision which has to be taken by everyone who has bought one of these artworks. We have a year to decide whether to keep the NFT or keep the actual physical artwork... We can't have both. whichever one we choose, the other will be destroyed... What a decision!
