Is Naples the City Worth Exploring During a Cruise Stop?

Our Greek adventure may be over but the 9 day cruise has one more stop before returning to Rome, and it's Naples.

Naples is a great cruise stop because it is the gateway to many famous Italian destinations such as Capri, Sorrento, Amalfi and Pompeii that are easy day trips.

But Naples as a city tends to get a bad rap. Some consider it old, dirty, dangerous and not worth the time. Yet Naples is the birthplace of Pizza and home to amazing food, culture and sights so we decided to put the question to the challenge, and spend in the day Naples.

The short answer is, everyone is right. On the surface, Naples is not an ideal vacation spot but dig deeper and it's rich with culture, beauty and adventure that will keep any tourist on their toes during a cruise stop.
