Thailand is bringing in some changes to their tax system, and you will not like it! Unfortunately, for lots of us Thailand seems to no longer be a good option for an attractive tax residency setup.

Up to until Now, Thailand used to be a good option for lots of expats, as they could earn foreign income and as long as they don't bring it to Thailand all that income would be tax free.
However, this is going to be the thing of the past very soon!

Now they will be taxing your worldwide income, whether you bring it to Thailand or not.
As of today, we are not yet sure which type of income this will be applicable to.

Does this mean Thailand is no longer an attractive place to set yourself up?

We will wait for the official government's report regarding these new changes, and then we will be able to bring you more updates regarding Thailand and their future tax policies.

This doesn't mean that Thailand is off the charts, even though things will certainly change very soon.
