The Second Avenue Subway Community Information Center (CIC) at 1628 Second Avenue (between 84th & 85th Streets) offers rotating exhibits and programming about the history and construction of the Second Avenue Subway. The center serves as a one-stop shop where Second Avenue residents, businesses, stakeholders and the general public can ask questions, learn more about the Second Avenue Subway construction project and bring issues of concern to the project staff.

Come experience the CIC's interactive and wall exhibits featuring vintage maps, proposals, historic photographs and newspaper articles, and video footage narrating the various attempts to build the Second Avenue Subway over the past 80 years. Or just stop in to get your questions answered.
Entitled The People Behind the Project: Bringing the Second Avenue Subway to Life, the CIC’s latest exhibit is a series of short documentary style videos that tell the story of the first major expansion of the New York City Subway in decades. In addition to the wall installation, the center also features an interactive exhibit, presented at four stations with iPads and high-definition monitors. The interactive exhibit features 17 videos - a six-minute feature film, six “Digging Deeper” videos that focus on specific topics including leadership and construction, and 10 short films in which individuals share personal stories.
