Wine tasting and Wine Tours at Bassarea Winery, Bulgaria

Wine tours are an exciting activity in Southern Bulgaria as these small boutique wineries show you how they make the wine before tasting. The winemaker themselves conducts the tour and tasting which brings a very personal aspect that one generally doesn't experience. Bassarea Winery is located in the Sakar Mountain range where the perfect sunshine, dry soil grow the best grapes. The winemaker selects only the best grapes from local producers for his wine.

There is a small wine shop next to the winery that sells a nice selection of wine from several of the local wineries in the region. Here you can taste many different ones. The winemaker from Bassarea selected some of the best wines for our tasting.

We left with a true appreciation of the wines from this producer.
