The cover of In the Court of the Crimson King was designed by Barry Godber, a 23-year-old young programmer, who unfortunately died the following year leaving these unique 2 covers as works. The painting used for the outside of the cover represents the face of a frightened man, with wide eyes, while screaming; the man, with the disfigured face and the disproportionate ear, represents the schizoid man of the twenty-first century mentioned in the first passage. Inside, however, there is an apparently calm and smiling face, which also shows its hands, in a hieratic pose: it represents the Crimson King; the predominant color is crimson red, accompanied by blue. The monstrosity of the face and the absence of information on both the front and the back make this illustration one of the most significant in the history of rock.
"Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" the cover, was made by Jann Haworth and Peter Blake starting from an idea by Paul McCartney. The concept of the image is that its ideal audience gathers around the band to take a group photo; I invite you to deepen the history of this incredible cover and the names of each of the photographed characters. And for mystery lovers, could references (more or less veiled) be missing from Paul McCartney's alleged death from the previous year? Obviously not!

La copertina di In the Court of the Crimson King fu disegnata da Barry Godber, un giovane programmatore di 23 anni, che purtroppo morì l'anno successivo lasciando come opere queste uniche 2 copertine. Il dipinto utilizzato per l'esterno della copertina rappresenta il volto di un uomo spaventato, con gli occhi spalancati, mentre urla; l'uomo, con il volto sfigurato e l'orecchio sproporzionato, rappresenta l'uomo schizoide del ventunesimo secolo di cui parla il primo brano. All'interno, invece, è presente un volto apparentemente calmo e sorridente, che mostra anche le mani, in posa ieratica: rappresenta il Re Cremisi; colore predominante è il rosso cremisi, accompagnato dal blu. La mostruosità del volto e l'assenza di informazioni sia sul davanti che sul retro, fanno di questa illustrazione una delle più significative della storia del rock.
