Established in 1989, Noosa Optical provides a complete range of services including eye health tests, vision testing, prescription eyewear, contact lenses, sunglasses and low vision aids.

We're proud to be a local, independent healthcare provider. As a small business, we live in, care for, and reinvest our time and savings to improve the health and well-being of our local community.

Like any healthcare service, seeing the same optometrist over time means that we understand your history and can monitor even minor changes in your eye health and vision.

Our consultations go far beyond just testing your vision for glasses. We give you and your eyes the attention you deserve, and provide tailored eyecare to suit your individual needs.

We’ve invested in technology and equipment to achieve the most sophisticated level of eye examinations. Our optometrists undertake additional training and education to stay up to date with clinical advancements.

Our equipment includes leading eye care technology by Zeiss, the gold standard equipment for macular and glaucoma diagnosis and monitoring.

Being 100% independent means we have the freedom to recommend what's best for you. We’re not constrained by corporate guidelines and franchise arrangements which would limit our choices of brands and frame selection.

When it comes to spectacle frames and lenses, you get what you pay for. There are vast differences in quality and we won’t compromise the health of your eyes with inferior products.

Local manufacturing is important to us. Some of our frames and sunglasses are handmade right here on the sunshine coast. Other ranges are designed in Australia and most of our premium and high grade prescription lenses are manufactured in Melbourne.

We are members of and contributors to the local community and economy. We provide a Children's Vision Screening program through local kindergarten and primary schools and it's a free community service to children between the ages of 3-6 years at participating schools. We also support Optometry Giving Sight and Lions Recycle for Sight.
