iPhone 17 review (1 month later). As an Android user testing the iPhone 17 daily, this is my honest review covering the camera, battery life, performance, and real-world experience. The Apple iPhone 17 has legitimately surprised me — and that’s coming from someone who lives on Android. After a full month of using it as my daily phone, I’ve got to be honest… this IS Apple’s best “regular” iPhone in years. The new aluminum build feels lighter, cleaner, and more comfortable than last year’s iPhone 16. The updated BrightView display is noticeably better outdoors here in Florida, iOS 26 feels smoother and more fun to use, and the new 48MP main camera is shockingly consistent for a non-Pro model. And yes — battery life is finally good! I can confidently get through a full day without babysitting it, and MagSafe charging feels quicker and more reliable than before.

You’re not getting the telephoto lens or the crazy ProMotion display from the Pro models, but after a month I don’t think most people will care. The iPhone 17 nails the fundamentals: great camera, great battery, great display, great software, and the tight ecosystem that Apple still does better than anybody else.

As an Android guy… this is the first non-Pro iPhone that actually feels like enough phone for me. It’s smooth, reliable, and honestly a lot more fun than I expected.

Just. Buy. It.
