20 Years of Space Imagery, World Best View Points

Part 1 - re-edited version "The Overview Effect"
for "World Best View Points" community

Astrophysicist Michel Mayor made recently a clear statement
It's about time and distance and our existence.

We have one planet only.

"The Overview Effect" is a psychological effect leading to a cognitive shift.

Michael Collins, Apollo 11, 1969.
"The thing that really surprised me was that Earth projected an air of fragility. And why, I don’t know. I don’t know to this day. I had a feeling it’s tiny, it’s shiny, it’s beautiful, it’s home, and it’s fragile."

From space, national boundaries vanish, conflicts are no longer important.
The need to create a planetary society with the united will to protect this "pale blue dot" becomes both obvious and imperative.

Astrophysicist and Nobel price winner Michel Mayor's conclusions go little bit further.
