This video was filmed in Mardan.
Mardan's chief sweet delicacy, the Badauni pedha is very popular across Mardan and adjacent districts. Pedha sweet delicacy is thought to be brought by some people from India. While this sweet delicacy spread to various parts of the India earlier on, its advent in North Pakistan dates to 1950s when a couple of villagers from India's Bareilly district set up a shop in the city of Mardan. Pedhas are grainy balls of the condensed milk ( khoa) which is mixed with sugar and some spices. These are believed to have been originated in Varanasi or Mathura and have been used as religious offerings (Prasad) in Hindu Temples.
The Pedha of Maran are really sweet and mouth watering.
