Quite Large Joule Thief

This 'super' Joule Thief has for a core 1/16" laminations of alloy steel. It came out of an army transformer as big as a suitcase. There are four hand wound coils of around 4,000 turns each, took a week of solid winding.
This one has two oppositely placed coils fired independently of each other, the two coils between them are 'pickup induction' coils, and run to the bridge.
Toroid shape is to capture 'all' the magnets that are perpetually going around the toroid once started. Also completely covered with wire. I'm a private experimenter for over 20 yrs, and haven't shared any of my projects till now. Thanks for watching.
